The Unfinished Swan
Explore a mysterious all-white landscape by splatting paint to reveal the world around you. As Monroe, a 10-year-old orphan, you'll follow a swan that's stepped out of an unfinished painting and wandered off into a surreal, storybook-inspired kingdom. Each chapter brings surprises, new ways to explore the world, a host of bizarre (and sometimes dangerous) creatures, and encounters with the eccentric king who built this empire.
The Unfinished Swan is a 3D, 1st-person, single-player exploration puzzler with surreal gameplay mechanics. As the Senior Systems Programmer, I was responsible for systems, gameplay, and audio programming. I wrote the core game mechanic for the second chapter, in which players throw balls of water to encourage a dynamic system of vines to grow over arbitrary level geometry. The player can then climb surfaces that are covered in vines, including walls and ceilings. The Unfinished Swan was released for PS3 on October 16, 2012.

Enter a macabre and comical silent film world filled with mischief, time travel, and delicious pie. Record yourself and harness your time bending abilities to cooperate, compete against, and disrupt your past, present, and future selves. Winterbottom's debut misadventures present whimsical spin on the notions of time, space, and play.
Winterbottom is a 2D, single-player side-scrolling platformer where players record and replay their actions to solve puzzles. As the Lead Programmer, I shared responsibility with another engineer to write the Winterbottom engine, a custom 2D game engine from scratch, complete with level design tool, asset pipeline, version control integration, 2D platforming physics, Lua scripting, and Xbox 360 features (save & load, achievements, leaderboards). The entire development, including engine, tools, and creating all of the game content, took 13 months. Winterbottom was completed on time, on budget, and released for Xbox LIVE Arcade on February 19, 2010.

Let's Make Eye Contact
Let's Make Eye Contact ("LMEC") is a social experiment and an exercise in practicing vulnerability and handling rejection in which I invite strangers to make eye contact with me for 60 seconds. If they consent, we do it and talk about it after. If they don't consent, we don't do it. I write about my encounters on the LMEC blog.
Ball Cup Cup Ball ("BCCB") is a game of skill, humor, and comradery.
BCCB has been dismissed as an inferior substitute for beer pong. Many new players anticipate the game to be easy and straight-forward. However these incorrect preconceptions rarely persist beyond a player's first round.
BCCB is a game of surprising depth, revealing its difficulty and subtlety only to those who pick up the cup and balls themselves. It is easy to learn, difficult to master, and altogether pretty silly, what with those balls bouncing everywhere.
The first tournament, Bushido Cup, was held in Los Angeles on March 12, 2016.
